Every day I am grateful for the beauty that surrounds my working life. My cosmetic surgery practice is located in the historic yet strikingly modern, art-filled center of Old Town Scottsdale. My staff and I enjoy our office in the bustling city.
Like many modern American cities, Scottsdale bloomed from farming roots. The original 40 lots and lone crossroad, set out in 1894 by Army Chaplain Winfield Scott, have been transformed into a lovely, tree-lined pedestrian mall with history and culture waiting at every turn. Its few remaining “original” olive trees were actually planted by the Reverend Scott 116 years ago!
There is fabulous art in Old Town Scottsdale. My office is located near the city’s public art walking tour, which is great to stroll along for a few minutes or a few hours. (If walking isn’t your thing, take the free trolley.) The tour features notable examples of contemporary public art, including some rather famous pieces. In Scottsdale, lovely old adobe buildings stand as proudly against the landscape as does the modern architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West, or Paoli Soleri’s Bridge and Plaza. The Little Red Schoolhouse (now the Scottsdale Historical Museum) has a patchwork past that’s a fascinating story in itself. Food tours, farmers’ markets, outdoor dining, theater and contemporary art, fashion, exciting contemporary and historical architecture…what’s not to love? This is a setting that can relax or invigorate me, wherever my mood and interest want to take me.
That same eclectic mix in Old Town’s ambience can help make your consultation at my office—and even the cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures themselves—much more stress-free. My modern facilities, located in the heart of Scottsdale’s historic section, were designed to assure my clients that they will receive superior care in any cosmetic or surgical routine that they might choose. I offer many options for breast augmentation, body contouring, and facial rejuvenation as well as a range of non-surgical face-smoothing options, such as Botox®, chemical peels, and fillers like Juvéderm®. Attentive skin care for women and men is ultra-important here in our arid Southwestern climate, so I offer physician-grade skin care products that pamper and revitalize moisture-starved skin.
I perform surgeries right across the street from my office, in the excellent hospital-owned and -managed Greenbaum Surgery Center, and I always work only with board-certified anesthesiologists. It’s a pleasure to perform modern plastic surgery in a historic setting.
You can build a lovely day out of your office visits by adding in a nice meal and some shopping. There’s a lot to see and do in our neighborhood, as I’m reminded every day. Few plastic surgeons are able to enjoy such a unique mix of old and new, the historic and the contemporary, that Old Town offers. I feel really lucky to be one of them.
