Massive Weight Loss
Background
This is a 45 year-old who had Roux-En-Y gastric bypass surgery and lost 113 pounds. After keeping a stable weight for several months, she came in to see what her options were for removal of her excess skin. She disliked the skin on her thighs, abdomen, arms, and also the droopiness of her breasts. Dr. Flint recommended staged surgery with the first stage including a circumferential lower body-lift with a vertical component to reduce her skin in the most significant way, a breast lift with an augmentation, and an excision of her lateral chest wall. Her second phase included a thigh lift with liposuction of the thighs. Lastly the patient had a bracioplasty performed to her arms and at that time was desirous of a neck lift. The surgeries were performed over a year and a half time period. Her body lift photos were taken a year and half following her original surgery, and her bracioplasty photos were taken 14 weeks following the final stage. Her scars will continue to lighten over time.
